JB Challenge + Contest: Giving Thanks!

Later this month, some of us will be joining with friends and family to celebrate Thanksgiving and to give thanks for all that is most important to us.

In honor of Thanksgiving, Jump Because would like to challenge you all to submit a jumping photo and a "jump because" story, keeping the spirit of Thanksgiving and this quote in mind:

"We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures." -Thornton Wilder

For example, what are you thankful for? Who are you thankful for? What does Thanksgiving mean to you? Do you have a favorite quote related to gratitude or giving thanks? You can send that sort of 'story' with your jumping photo, too.

Even if you don't celebrate this holiday, we'd still love for you to send us a "thankful" jump :)

All photos that are submitted will be posted on www.jumpbecause.com as one of our featured daily jumps. However, one photo will be chosen as the winner of this contest and will be posted as a special feature on our website for the next few months.

Please send your photos and stories to jumpbecause@gmail.com with a mention of the challenge/contest in the subject or e-mail.

We will accept photo submissions to this contest through Monday, November 28, which is the Monday following the U.S. Thanksgiving. The winner will be announced the following weekend.

Giving Thanks 2011: Challenge + Contest Winner

In November of 2011, we asked jumpers to submit a photo that kept the spirit of Thanksgiving and this quote in mind:

This photo above, sent in by Rick from Utah, was chosen as the winner of this JB Challenge + Contest! His submission features his family, who was celebrating their first Christmas together in 5 years. As Rick put it, "That was a moment worth jumping." Jump Because... For a Cause!

In June 2010, JumpBecause hosted a Potluck-for-a-Cause fundraiser to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. People brought amazing food, made fun crafts, participated in a raffle, and listened to great local music... and of course JUMPED! Check out the highlights of our fundraiser on the "Causes" page.
