Biking for a Cause in RVA!

"I jump because about 15 years ago I had the crazy idea to ride my bike across the country. That idea became a reality a little over 2 months ago after a couple friends and I steered our handle bars east from Florence, Oregon. After 2 months, a ton of peddling, and the most unimaginable adventure I have ever encountered, I rolled into Richmond, Virginia to take a couple rest days before continuing my journey north to New York City. All along the way people have been generously donating to the blog I document the tour with, bikingforacause.tumblr.com, and ultimately that is why I jump. I jump because it saves lives. Enjoy these pics of my great friends Jon and Hannah; I sure enjoyed jumping with them in such a great city." - Dan

Giving Thanks 2011: Challenge + Contest Winner

In November of 2011, we asked jumpers to submit a photo that kept the spirit of Thanksgiving and this quote in mind:

This photo above, sent in by Rick from Utah, was chosen as the winner of this JB Challenge + Contest! His submission features his family, who was celebrating their first Christmas together in 5 years. As Rick put it, "That was a moment worth jumping." Jump Because... For a Cause!

In June 2010, JumpBecause hosted a Potluck-for-a-Cause fundraiser to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. People brought amazing food, made fun crafts, participated in a raffle, and listened to great local music... and of course JUMPED! Check out the highlights of our fundraiser on the "Causes" page.

Jump Because was interviewed for the Michigan State University Alumni Magazine (Winter 2010 issue, p. 15).
One of Jump Because's founders attended MSU as an undergraduate and we're all proud to see JB featured among other Spartan news!
