It was a tough week of work so I ask my friends Lister (the author), Doydoy (the photographer), Lucille the (clueless model) to have fun and do outdoor sketching. The day was so nice that we have 1 hr. walking @ 11:00 AM with the blistering of the sun from the main highway road to Hidd Bridge hiding to Muharraq the other Island of Bahrain. Upon reaching the bridge we didn’t care about the hit or the hunger and the pain of our legs while walking but the determination that once we get to the bridge we will make our high jump and just be free spirited.

“In life we have lots of dream, some got it and some don’t. Life is like jumping you go up and you come down but once you’ll see your feet are in the ground you’ll see everything is just fine, life is like that! Don’t lose hope keep dreaming until you reach it.”

we've been planning for a nice jump picture since we heard of this site. Guess after several months of attempts you just need to be free spirited in spite the ordeal to achieve a nice shoot.

In November of 2011, we asked jumpers to submit a photo that kept the spirit of Thanksgiving and this quote in mind: "We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures." -Thornton Wilder This photo above, sent in by Rick from Utah, was chosen as the winner of this JB Challenge + Contest! His submission features his family, who was celebrating their first Christmas together in 5 years. As Rick put it, "That was a moment worth jumping." The complete story behind the jump and the original post can be viewed here.

A wonderful JumpBecause story: "I jump because life is for living. I want to scream out that my life has not yet faded into the gray background of monotony and drudgery. Responsibility and realism may tie me to a staid facade most of the day, most of the days, so lost are the ways of youth and frivolity. Then escape comes, an afternoon away, time to walk without purpose, unrestrained. Camera ever handy to document the absurdity, I protest my earthbound state with fleeting bursts of freedom. The air rushes past. Childhood gives a fleeting wink. My body sings. I jump."-Timothy, Benicia, California
In June 2010, JumpBecause hosted a Potluck-for-a-Cause fundraiser to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. People brought amazing food, made fun crafts, participated in a raffle, and listened to great local music... and of course JUMPED! Check out the highlights of our fundraiser on the "Causes" page.
