Jump Because would like to give a shoutout
to "Jumping Norman."

Since 2008, Jumping Norman has been jumping and collecting photos from others in the travel community at VirtualTourist.com - and now through Facebook.  What a great way of sharing and remembering one's travels! We hope you'll check out his page.

Jump Because would like to give a shout-out to one of our friends,
who is biking for a cause this summer.

Dan Durller, age 30, grew up in Fort Edward, New York but currently live in
Brooklyn, New York with his wife Sara.
He's been biking since he was 15, and ever since he's had the idea to bike across country.

Now that he's 30, Daniel felt it was time to make the jump and just go for it!
Here's more from Dan on Biking for a Cause:
"As excited as I am to do the tour, I recognize that it is somewhat selfish. I am not working in our crippled economy, and able to afford such an adventure. I am very lucky for that. With that said, I felt I needed to give something back, so I am riding in the name of my late Uncle Larry from my fathers side of the family who passed away last year from lung cancer. He was a great man and very close to my sister and I growing up. He was that uncle that was in close proximity to the family farm I grew up on, the one that dressed up as Santa at Christmas, the one who would take us kids pumpkin hunting in the fall, and the one who would play his guitar in front of the bon fire on late summer evenings. He is missed."

Sometime you go biking just because, and sometimes
you go biking for a cause.

Jump Because sends our best wishes to Daniel for a fabulous ride!

Jump Because would like to give a shout-out to SheJumps!

Here is a message from the folks at SheJumps:

"SheJumps is a nonprofit organization that exists to increase the participation of women in outdoor activities. We do that by creating a supportive network of women willing to reach their potential in both the outdoors and in everyday life. We ask people the question: What great thing would you dare to accomplish if you knew success was the only possible outcome?"

Trevor jumps because he wants to help save the Sumatran tiger! Telluride, Colorado
Jump Because would like to send a huge shout-out to one of our good friends, Trevor Frost.  Trevor is a National Geographic young explorer and is competing against just one other person in their Expedition Granted Contest.

Scientists estimate that there are only 250 to 300 Sumatran tigers left in the wild - making it one of the most endangered wild cats in the world. Panthera, the world's leading cat conservation organization believes the only way to save them is by stopping humans from killing them - this means we need strong anti-poaching programs.

Vote for Trevor Frost, a big Jump Because fan (you can view some of his jump submissions here and here and here) and Richmond local, at the link below to help him create stronger anti-poaching programs in Sumatra so the future of the Sumatran tiger is is that of the one in the first picture and not the second picture below.

You can vote here today - and try to vote everyday between now and April 7. Did we mention that the more you vote the better your chance of winning a trip to the Galapagos? Pretty cool!

Vote and learn more about Trevor right here or go to this link: http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/expedition-week-granted-contest/?vote=trevor
