This photo was sent as a submission for our current Jump Because Challenge + Contest. As the contest continues, we will be posting some of our favorites. Jumpers were asked to submit a photo that best represents this quote from jumping inspiration, Philippe Halsman. "When you ask a person to jump, his attention is mostly directed toward the act of jumping and the mask falls so that the real person appears."  "This photo was taken in the rain forest at Pico Bonito National Park in Honduras. A twenty minute hike into the forest, there is this otherworldly waterfall and pool just waiting for friends to jump in and enjoy!  In November of 2011, we asked jumpers to submit a photo that kept the spirit of Thanksgiving and this quote in mind:
"We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures." -Thornton Wilder This photo above, sent in by Rick from Utah, was chosen as the winner of this JB Challenge + Contest! His submission features his family, who was celebrating their first Christmas together in 5 years. As Rick put it, "That was a moment worth jumping." A wonderful JumpBecause story: Jump Because... For a Cause!
In June 2010, JumpBecause hosted a Potluck-for-a-Cause fundraiser to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. People brought amazing food, made fun crafts, participated in a raffle, and listened to great local music... and of course JUMPED! Check out the highlights of our fundraiser on the "Causes" page.
