 "I jump because Bruges is Beautiful." -Sarah   "I had just begun a year in Europe - outside of Amsterdam to be exact. I had heard delightful things about Brussels, so I made that my first weekend trip. My friends and I found a great hostel, but it must have been in a dodgy part of town because we walked around for what felt like hours and didn't see what the big deal was. Brussels didn't seem so great to me. I was a little disappointed because I it was my first weekend traveling, and I was still full of the romantic hope that everything was going to be Middle Ages and glorious. It was drab and mundane.  In November of 2011, we asked jumpers to submit a photo that kept the spirit of Thanksgiving and this quote in mind:
"We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures." -Thornton Wilder This photo above, sent in by Rick from Utah, was chosen as the winner of this JB Challenge + Contest! His submission features his family, who was celebrating their first Christmas together in 5 years. As Rick put it, "That was a moment worth jumping." A wonderful JumpBecause story: Jump Because... For a Cause!
In June 2010, JumpBecause hosted a Potluck-for-a-Cause fundraiser to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. People brought amazing food, made fun crafts, participated in a raffle, and listened to great local music... and of course JUMPED! Check out the highlights of our fundraiser on the "Causes" page.
